The NEET 2026 exam will be conducted by the National Testing Agency offline in a single shift. The NEET 2026 exam is expected to be held on May 6, 2026. The exam answer key is likely to be out in May 2026, while the result may be out in June 2025. The full NEET 2026 exam schedule is expected to be released online by the end of the year. The exam authorities have also removed the optional questions from the exam paper, and students will have to answer each of the questions. The exam time has been reduced to 180 minutes from 200 minutes. The pre-COVID exam format has returned, and the exam paper is now available in 13 languages. It is expected that the NEET 2026 exam will retain the pre-COVID exam pattern for exam preparation.

Even though, as per the NEET expert committee, the changes in the NEET 2026 exam are expected. The Ministry of Education has asked the NTA authorities to come back with an action plan after reviewing the recommendations. The NTA authorities must come up with an implementation strategy that must be created based on the recommendations against the NEET 2025 exam.
