Published On:

Yes, NCTE has proposed bringing back the one-year B.Ed from the 2026–27 session, but it is not fully approved yet. Only postgraduates and 4-year degree holders will qualify. Students with 3-year UG degrees must continue with the 2-year B.Ed until official Gazette confirmation.
Will B.Ed. Be of 1 Year from 2026?

Yes, but with conditions. Though this course is expected to be implemented in 2026-27, with the start of the 1-year B.Ed programme reintroduced by the National Council for Teacher Education, it is not for everyone. It is exclusively for the candidates possessing Master's degrees or 4-year undergraduate degrees. Approval in official form of such a proposal is still pending, as it is currently at the draft stage. The course is not yet officially active, and the NCTE does not declare it operational until a notification is published in the Official Gazette. Thus, interested students will have to wait for the confirmation before actually making any plans for admission.

Yes, at LPU you can apply for M.A. in Performing Arts even if your B.A. is in a different subject. The basic eligibility is a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized university with the required minimum marks, usually around 50 percent. Admission is based on eligibility criteria set by the university, and in some cases, an audition or performance assessment may be conducted depending on the specialization or selection process. So overall, your undergraduate stream does not restrict your eligibility as long as you meet the required graduation and marks criteria.

Yes, you can still apply for B.Tech CSE at LPU even if you are not taking JEE Main. LPU accepts LPUNEST as its own entrance test, which you can take for admission as well as for scholarships. You can also apply based on your 12th marks (PCM) if you meet the eligibility criteria. So, not appearing for JEE Main is not an issue, and you still have clear options to get admission.
