About The ICFAI University, Dehradun
ICFAI University Dehradun was founded in 2003, Uttrakhand, India. The university is affiliated with the UGC (University Grant Commission), NCTE (National Council for Teacher Education), NAAC (National Assessment and Accreditation Council ), ACU (Association of Commonwealth Universities), and AIU (Association of Indian Universities). A total of four institutes have been set up at ICFAI, including ICFAI Law School (ILS), ICFAI Business School (IBS), ICFAI Tech School (ITS), and ICFAI Education School (IEDs).
In 2003, the Uttaranchal Legislative Assembly passed, and the Governor assented to the ICFAI University Act 2003, establishing the University in Dehradun, Uttarakhand (from now on, ICFAI University). In 1984, the Institute of Chartered Financial Analysts of India (Icfai) established the ICFAI University Dehradun, Uttarakhand. This non-profit educational society is registered under the Government of Andhra Pradesh (Telangana Area) Public Societies Registration Act, 1350.
The university operates on a 25-acre campus at Selaqui, Dehradun, with approximately 2.3 lakh sq. ft. of built-up area, including classrooms, research labs, faculty rooms, an auditorium, seminar halls, computer labs, a library, a canteen, and a sports complex. It follows a coeducational, regular study mode and does not provide hostel facilities.
The university offers UG, PG, integrated, and Ph.D. programmes in Engineering, Pharmacy, Computer Applications, Management, Commerce, Science, Law, and Education. Total fees range from INR 80,000 to INR 6,50,000, depending on the programme.
For the academic year 2024-25, the highest package recorded was INR 10.7 LPA in the MBA programme, with 60 recruiters participating. The University has a beautiful campus covering 25 acres at Selaqui, Dehradun. It has around 2.3 lakh sq. ft. of built-up area, including classrooms, research labs, faculty rooms, an auditorium, seminar halls, computer labs with computing facilities, a library, a canteen, and a sports complex.
Infrastructure
- Students and researchers can access information through the Library's automated interface. Through OPAC, they can conduct a computerised search and retrieve information about textbooks, reference books, dictionaries, encyclopedias, etc.
- As an educational institution, IUD emphasises the use of modern IT hardware and software on campus. Conscious of the rapid obsolescence in IT hardware, software and technologies, we constantly update our campus's IT infrastructure.
- For the safety and security of our teachers, students, and staff, surveillance cameras are also installed on the campus property. The campus includes ample outdoor space for fun and recreational activities for students.
- As a Wi-Fi-enabled campus, IU uses IT to plan and disseminate information. It has developed an intranet in recent months to make operations more effective and efficient. This will improve student services and maximise the use of campus resources.
Facilities
- Wi-Fi is available on the campus; students can access the internet from anywhere. Students have access to the university's IT labs equipped with the latest software and hardware. The university has 15 Mbps bandwidth for students, faculty, and staff.
- On-campus, there is a first aid room and an ambulance. Medical practitioners are on-site thrice a week and visit the university regularly. Over 700 students and staff visited the university's health centre from 2001-to 14.
- The university has 350 computer systems equipped with Intel Pentium Core i5, Intel Core 2 Duo, AMD Athlon, and dual-core processors, and IBM, HCL, and SUN provide its services.
- The cafeteria provides Indian and continental snacks and nutritious food so students can eat well, contributing to students' long-term health. Our cafeteria can provide students with wholesome snacks and meals with its entire supply of supplies.
- This auditorium hosts regular conferences, professional workshops, and seminars, and it is equipped with LCD projectors, screens, and whiteboards to support quality education and professional development.

Eligibility Conditions
- Once a student gets a backlog (RRA/NC/RC) in any semester, they lose eligibility for the scholarship for all future semesters.
- A minimum GPA of 6 or above is required in each semester.
- Students facing any disciplinary action are not eligible.
- Students who have availed any type of fee waiver are not eligible.
- Full semester fee must be paid on or before the registration date.
