The academic values of the institute are consistent with the mission statement “Development of integrated manpower possessing pharmaceutical knowledge and skills, values and ethics needed to make an honourable living and contribute to the socio-economic development and welfare of the Society”. The teaching staff will be appointed from the beginning on permanent basis of subject to the approval of Staff Selection Committee constituted by university. The Pharmacy institute calls for staff with wide specialization. The course contains a few subjects taught for only 2 or 3 hours/week. Many minor subjects like Biology, Anatomy & Physiology and Clinical Pathology etc do not need full time faculty. If the permanent Pharmacy faculty cannot handle these minor subjects, faculty on contract to teach the specific subject will be employed. St. Xavier Institute of Pharmacy (XAVP) is promoted by Community And Rural Development Society (CARDS). CARDS is a Registered Voluntary Organisation. Registered in 1979 with a Mission of Serving the Society through Education especially the youth of India since three decades. Every Year nearly 65,000 students passes through CARDS Primary Schools, Degree Colleges, Para-Medical Colleges, Vocational Junior Colleges, Nursing Schools and Nursing Colleges. St. Xavier Institute of Pharmacy (XAVP) main objective is offering courses in Pharmacy with a view to develop man-power, possessing knowledge and skills to secure jobs in Pharamaceutical Industries and Health care organisations.
