The convention centre at Vijayawada heldThe 18th and 19th (combined) annual convocation of Dr NTR University of Health Sciences (NTRUHS) on March 30.
The Governor of two Telugu States who is also Chancellor of the University, E S L Narasimhan, will preside over the event, where retired Professor in Nephrology who is known as the Father of Nephrology in India, Kirpal Singh Chugh will be honoured with a doctorate, said by NTRUHS Vice-Chancellor Dr T Ravi Raju while Addressing the media at his chambers on Monday.
The Vice-Chancellor said that 6,000 candidates will receive their MBBS degrees. He further elaborated that as many as 97 golds, 46 silver medals and cash rewards for 42 graduates will be given away for their academic excellence on the convocation day.
Registrar of the University G Anuradha was also present during the meet.
Wholesome, 13 students will receive their Ph.Ds, 12 candidates will receive super specialty and 32 students will receive MD, MS degrees and certificates for PG Diploma courses. Registrar of the University G Anuradha was also present during the meet.
