The two days "National Innovation Conclave- 2015- The Kumbh of Innovation” commenced at Amity University Gurgaon Manesar campus
The two day National Conclave is an endeavor to involve a wider cross-section of innovators and students from across the country. With a view to foster innovative thinking, new product development, technology incubation, new age startups and to nurture the spirit of innovation- said a press release from the University.
“In the globalized world, competition in the ‘Knowledge Economy’ is the most important task of a higher education system. Western universities have a remarkably successful model for higher education as they create and transmit ‘useful knowledge’; moreover, they have a flexible and adaptable working system,” said Dr. VS Chauhan, Hon’ble Chairman, Executive Council, NAAC.
Highlighting the purpose of University Education, Dr. Chauhan said “University Education is to make students think and develop analytical thinking. It must focus on to the development of leadership, entrepreneurship, team spirit, adaptability and appropriate use of technical skills.”
While enlightening on innovation and entrepreneurship, Dr. Ashok K Chauhan said, “India is an entrepreneurial nation and innovation is a paradigm for growth. The key to spur growth is to thrust on Innovation. India needs people who have passion to further develop their potential for the development of nation.”
The two day conclave saw plethora of activities like -Oral presentation of papers by researchers, innovators, entrepreneurs, faculty and students and Business Plan Competition on new-age enterprises & startups, poster presentation and live demonstration of innovative work by the faculty and students of Amity Universities such as Bionic Arm, Unmanned Aerial Vehicle, Amibot, Pololu 3Pi Line Follower Robot, Hybrid car and Solar Power Non Polluted Car amongst others.
The inauguration ceremony witnessed the presence of Dr. VS Chauhan, Hon’ble Chairman, Executive Council, NAAC; Dr. Ashok K Chauhan, Founder President, Amity Group; Dr. Aseem Chauhan, Chancellor, Amity University Gurgaon; Dr. Atul Chauhan, Chancellor, Amity University Uttar Pradesh; Dr. (Mrs.) Ameeta Chauhan, Chairperson, Amity International Schools; Ajit Chauhan, Vice Chairman, ADDOE; Dr. P B Sharma, Vice Chancellor, Amity University Gurgaon; Dr. Padmakali Banerjee, Pro- Vice Chancellor, Amity University Gurgaon; Dr. JP Dudeja, Chief Coordinator and other eminent scientists and dignitaries.
