Five Educational Institutes of Lucknow have secured a spot in the list of India top 100 institutions. In the NATIONAL INSTITUTION RANKING FRAMEWORK (NIRF), the report presented by the Government of India's Ministry of Human Resource and Development, five institutes of Lucknow are in top 100. These institutes are:
- King George Medical University
- Indian Institute of Management Lucknow
- B.N.College of Engineering and Technology, Lucknow
- Jaipuria Institute of Management
- Baba Saheb Bhimrao Ambedkar Law College
With 16th rank in the list of top 100 universities, King George's Medical University has not only made Lucknow proud by being in the top 25 listed college in the published report, but it also got a specific mention in the same. KGMU being a discipline-specific institution performing research and imparting education in medical, found a special mention for finding a place in the muti-disciplinary institutions of the country.
Also in the list is IIM Lucknow that has been ranked 4th among the top 50 management institutions of the country. IIM Lucknow has earned a top ranking for the entire state. Two other institutions making it to the list are BN college of Engineering & Technology ranked 44th and Jaipuria Institute of Management at 49th Place. Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University is also in the list ranking 84th in the top 100 universities list.
