9 Days Long Delhi Book Fair Starts From 27th August

From tomorrow i.e. 27th August’ 16 starts the nine-days long Delhi Book Fair at Pragati maidan of Delhi. This will be the 22nd book fair of Delhi which is being organised by the ITPO short for Indian Trade Promotion Organisation along with Federation of Indian Publishers. The fair will last till 4th September’ 16 and will be promoting initiatives like ‘Sarva Shiksha Abhiyaan’ by Central Government. The initiative has been launched with an aim to make the youth understand the importance of books and education.

There will be a ton of attractions available at the fair apart from the treasure of books. There will be a ‘selfie station’ available in the Pavilion section which will have all the campaigns that are launched in the last two years at the national level, following are some of the names.

  • Digital India
  • Skill India
  • Startup India
  • Smart Cities
  • Startup India
  • Umang

Other things like 'nukkad natak', author’s corner and reading sessions along with a ton of activities will also be available for entertainment. Being a book fair it will have all the books from fiction to nonfiction, comic books, literature, digital books, academic books and much more. Students and faculty members will be given entry free of cost provided they are in their uniform or are carrying their ID cards.
