Under the initiative of Mumbai University’s Chancellor’s Appointee for the varsity’s management council, Deepakkumar Mukadam, an online portal has been created that holds information of the leading academicians and professors in India. The aim of the online portal is to assist the educational institutions in India to come up with better educational policies. The name of the online portal is Academicsthan.
Vinod Tawde, the Maharashtra Higher and Technical Education Minister was the Chief Guest during the launch of “academicsthan.com”. As per sources, the academicsthan.com has been launched to bring all the leading professors and academicians under one roof.
In the words of MHTE Minister, the launch of the initiative will facilitate the efficient use of resources available in the form of teachers, to make the necessary education policies as per their needs. The online portal, states Mukkadam, will serve as a common platform for all the academicians and professors across the country.
Mukkadam also stated that the online portal will allow the educational institutions in the private, Government as well as the semi-government sectors to work on their policies and execute different academic-oriented activities.

Sources have stated that the website will be working towards providing the different government agencies and the NGOs primarily to aid them in making developing the policies as well as allocate the necessary resources and create prospective plans in the field of higher education and academic growth.

Launching a common platform or an online portal where the academics and professors are allowed to display the important and necessary information for all government, NGO and private agencies to use should facilitate in undertaking development in the education sector.
