Sri Balaji VidyaPeeth Deemed University (SBVDU), Puducherry invites applications for admission to Bachelor of Medicine Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) at Mahatma Gandhi Medical College and Research Institute, Pondicherry, Indira Gandhi Institute of Dental Sciences and Shri Satya Sai Medical College and Resaerch Institute, Thiruporur, Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) at Indira Gandhi Institute of Dental Sciences Pondicherry, Bachelor of Science (B.Sc), Post Basic B.Sc and Master of Science (M.Sc) Nursing at Kasturba Gandhi Nursing College programs for the session 2016.
Eligibility Criteria-
For MBBS Programs: Candidates should have passed the HSc examination conducted by the board of higher secondary examination of Tamil Nadu or other equivalent examination with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks (40% marks for SC/ST/OBC) in the subjects-Physics, Chemistry, Biology (Botany/ Zoology)/ Bio-Technology. Candidates must have taken English as a core subject.
For B.Sc Nursing Program: Candidate for admission to the first year Nursing Course should have passed the H.Sc (Academic / Vocational) examination conducted by the Board of Higher Secondary Examination of Tamil Nadu or any other equivalent examination with a minimum of 45% aggregate marks (40% marks for SC/ST/OBC) in any one of the following three groups combinations and should have studied English as one of the Subjects.
For M.Sc Nursing Program: Candidate should have qualified with the degree of Basic B.Sc(Nursing)/ PB B.Sc (Nursing) of Pondicherry University or the degree of any other University recognized as equivalent there to by the Pondicherry University.

For MBBS Program: Candidates using downloaded application form have to pay Rs. 1500/- as a demand draft towards the cost of the application along with the applcation form.
Application fee for Nursing programs is Rs. 500/-.
For BDS Program: Candidates using downloaded application form have to pay Rs. 1000/- as a demand draft towards the cost of the application along with the applcation form.
Selection Procedure-
Candidates will be selected on the basis of their performance in the SBVDUMCET 2016 for MBBS program, SBVDUNCET 2016 for Nursing programs and SBVDUDCET 2016 for BDS program conducted by the university.

For MBBS Program:
Last date for submission of application form: Saturday, June 11, 2016.
Last date of dispatch of hall ticket: Monday, June 13, 2016.
Date of SBVDUMCET: Saturday, June 18, 2016.
For BDS and Nursing Programs-
Last date for submission of application form: Saturday, June 18, 2016.
Date of SBVDUNCET/SBVDUDCET: Saturday, June 25, 2016.
