Anand Rai, who exposed Madhya Pradesh’s Vyapam scam, alleged that the question paper of the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) MBBS Entrance Exam 2017 was leaked. AIIMS administration responded to the allegation and said that they will look into the matter as it is a serious concern.
The authorities of the institute have also informed the Crime Branch of Delhi Police about the exam paper leak. In a series of tweets, Anand Rai posted various images of the AIIMS MBBS exam question paper.
He also stated that he was provided with the snapshots of the question paper from a source who claimed that the images were leaked from Lucknow’s M C Saxena College – one of the centres on the online exam conducted on May 28, 2017.
Rai also tagged the Prime Minister's Office in his tweet and asked the authorities to conduct a CBI inquiry in the case. He further added that the exam was conducted in two shifts and the snapshots prove that the exam paper was leaked while the exam was in progress.
He further alleged that AIIMS MBBS programme seats were being ‘sold’. Taking the case further, Rai took to his Facebook page and urged the Prime Minister to ensure that hardworking and meritorious students don’t suffer because of such fraudulent activities.
Talking about the case on his Facebook page, Rai said that it was regretful that meritorious students work hard all the year to get good scores in the exam, while, ‘mafias’ corrupt the education system with such activities.
