AIMSA Receives Diary Number on SC Petition to Postpone NEET PG 2022: First Hearing this Week

As per the official confirmation received from AIMSA through Twitter, SC is likely to take up the first hearing on NEET PG 2022 postponement petition this week.

All India Medical Students’ Association (AIMSA) has confirmed that it had received the Diary Number for the petition filed in the Supreme Court seeking the postponement of NEET PG 2022. The National President of the All India Medical Students’ Association further confirmed that the first hearing will take place this week. As predicted by CollegeDekho earlier, the petition is expected to be heard by SC before the release of the NEET PG 2022 admit card. As there is some confirmation on the SC hearing date on NEET PG 2022 postponement petition, the aspirants are advised to wait patiently for a few more days.

While the matter reached Supreme Court, the aspirants of NEET PG 2022 have been continuing their protest seeking the deferment of the exam date by at least 8 to 10 weeks. FAIMA Medical Association called for a Twitter Storm on May 7 at 3:00 PM with the hashtag #POSTPONENEETPG2022_MODIJI. FAIMA even reached National Medical Commission (NMC) on May 6 seeking deferment of the exam date but did not any response from the commission.

Several campaigns are being run on Twitter by NEET PG 2022 aspirants to postpone the exam. So far, more than 20 MPs have submitted letters to Union health Ministry seeking exam postponement and a fresh plea was made by students on May 6 to PM Modi in this regard.

The appeal made by NEET PG 2022 aspirants is genuine specifically the issue of 5,000 interns who lost eligibility to appear for the exam. On the other hand, PG admissions for the academic session of 2021 are still underway in certain states.
