Alagappa University, Karaikudi, Tamil Nadu has started with their application process for admission into the various programmes for the 2018-19 academic year. The application process for the same is available in both online and offline mode. The university has 15 learning centres, 29 educational departments and 10 development and study centres. The university offers various postgraduate programmes in 42 varied disciplines of arts, science, commerce, technology, education, and management.

- All MBA/ MCA Programmes: Entrance Test, Group Discussion & Personal Interview
- M.Sc Biotechnology: Entrance Test, Group Discussion & Personal Interview
- B.Ed/ M.Ed: On the basis of entrance test score only
- M.P.Ed./ B.P.Ed./D.P.Ed: Medical Entrance Test, Physical Efficiency Test
- Admission to all other programmes will be on the basis of marks obtained in the qualifying degree exam.

Alagappa University Admission Requirements 2018
- All the selections made by the university are provisional till the time candidates fulfilled all the necessary requirements and have met the eligibility criteria.
- On the day of the admission candidates are required to submit their original documents and in case the selected candidates who do not report on the day of the joining within the given time their seats will be forfeit.
