The Gudlavalleru College of Engineering and Technology, Vijayawada, has conducted an anuual sports meet in a grand manner on 4th February, 2016. Around 900 Students from 29 Engineering colleges have participated in the Annual Sports Meet. The Academic director of JNTU - Kakinada Mr. Padmakar was the Chief Guest. He inaugrated the annual sports by Flying a Dove.
He said that Sports are responsible for the Physical and Mental Health of Students. He opined that these sports meet help students to cultivate physical strenght. Students from Krishna and Guntur District Participated in the sports meet.
The Major sports in which the competitions held were
- Kho - Kho
- Kabaadi
- Basket Ball
- Volley Ball
- Badminton
- Table Tennis and many other
Around 900 students from 29 colleges actively and enthusiastically Participated in the event. Prizes were distributed to the winners in the Validictory Function. Around 345 students won prizes in the competitions.
College Secretary, Sports Director, Correspondent, Faculty, Press and Media were present.
