The recruitment process will be carried out by the Government of Andhra Pradesh as a part of their initiative to conduct DSC recruitment regularly and enhance the teaching staff in government schools.
According to the latest update from the School Education Department, the notification is ready based on the statement made by Education and IT Minister Nara Lokesh, who said that DSC recruitment will be conducted every year. The officials have gathered data on vacancies from various departments at the field level.
Expected Vacancy Details
Approximately 3,600 teaching vacancies are expected to be filled through the AP DSC 2026 recruitment process. The expected vacancy breakup is as follows:
- 1,200 vacancies in Adarsh Schools, AP Residential Educational Institutions, and Welfare Department schools.
- Approximately 1,700 vacancies in Panchayat Raj, Municipal, and Government schools.
- Approximately 700 Special Education Teacher vacancies are expected to be filled to promote inclusive education.
The officials announced that these are only expected vacancies, and the actual number of vacancies will be released in the formal notification.
No Change in Syllabus and Pattern of Examination
The government has made it clear that there will be no change in the syllabus and pattern of examination for the DSC this year. The same syllabus and guidelines that were followed in the last recruitment process will continue, and candidates can go ahead with their preparations without any doubts.
The recruitment process is likely to test the candidates' knowledge in their subject, pedagogy, educational psychology, and teaching methodology. The continuation of the same pattern is expected to ensure that there is no disparity in the treatment of candidates who have already started their preparations.
Last Year's Recruitment
In the last recruitment process, more than 16,000 teacher posts were advertised, and most of them were filled, but some were left vacant as there were no eligible reserved candidates available. The forthcoming DSC recruitment will fill up the remaining teacher vacancies, especially in rural and government schools.
As the notification is expected to be released on Ugadi, candidates are advised to be ready with their academic qualifications, TET qualification details, and other necessary documents.
