75 Aspirants from Andhra Pradesh and Telangana Crack UPSC Civil Services Mains 2017

  • A total number of 2,568 aspirants have qualified for the Personality Test.
75 Aspirants from Andhra Pradesh and Telangana Crack UPSC Civil Services Mains 2017

A total number of 75 aspirants from Andhra Pradesh and Telangana have qualified UPSC Civil Services Main Examination 2017. UPSC announced the results of UPSC Mains written examination on January 10, 2018. Out of the total number of aspirants appeared for the exam, 2,568 aspirants cracked it and qualified for the Personality Test. Out of them, over 75-80 aspirants are from the both Telugu states.

Appreciating the students, Director of a popular coaching centre in Telangana mentioned that the performance of AP and Telangana students in UPSC exam is highly outstanding and appreciable. He wished the students to perform well in the final stage and indicated that interview marks would be a vital determinant of success. Mostly, the questions in Personality Test will be based on current affairs and details provided by the candidates in the application form, he added.

UPSC Civil Services examination comprises of three stages including prelims, mains and interview (personality test). The final selection of the candidates will be based on overall performance in all the three stages.

UPSC Civil Services Prelims Exam 2017 was taken by over six lakh candidates. Among them, 13,366 candidates qualified for Mains Exam 2017. Finally, 2,568 aspirants made it to the final stage of selection process. UPSC is expected to begin the process for Personality Test from February 19, 2018. Meanwhile, the candidates who have qualified Mains Exam 2018 can start preparing for Personality Test. The e-summon letter for Personality Test will be available for download from January 18, 2018.

The mark sheets of the candidates who have not qualified Mains Exam 2017 will be uploaded on the official website within two weeks.
