Sushil Kumar Modi, Deputy Chief Minister of the state of Bihar appealed the students of IIT Patna to focus on innovation in the field of education, agriculture, healthcare and others. He addressed the students during the Solve For Bihar and Solve For India programme and urged the students to find a solution to the problems in these fields through innovation.
Sushil Kumar Modi is also the Finance and IT Minister of Bihar. While addressing the students, he said that IIT Patna has to play a major role in the 4th industrial revolution and startups of IIT. According to the Bihar’s Startup Policy, every startup of the state would get a loan of Rs.10 lakh for 10 years without any interest.

He further informed that IIT Patna will soon have a two-storeyed building which will provide space for 50 incubators for electronic system design, medical electronics and manufacturing. As per him, education and innovation go hand-in-hand. Therefore, for students to be successful today it is very important to have knowledge about innovation.

Also, 10 percent of the space will be reserved for startups at SME Cluster and Hub. This is a part of the Startup Policy and a total funding of Rs.1.88 crore has been sanctioned to 57 certified startups as seed capital.
