CBSE Board Exams 2022: Students Demand Options for Both Online, Offline Papers

Amidst the currently prevailing global pandemic, CBSE Board Exam 2022 students have demanded both, online and offline modes of examination. Read the full piece below to know the status of the request.

Amidst the global pandemic where everyone’s safety is of utmost importance, many exams have either been cancelled or converted to online modes. This year i.e. 2021, to deal with the issue in hand, the board exams were cancelled and a new method was adopted to assess students. For the next year, things seem to be moving in a different direction. So, will CBSE Board Exams 2022 be conducted online? Students may read on and find the answer to this question.

CBSE Board Exams 2022 students have demanded the option of appearing in the exam in both, online and offline modes. Until now, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has made clear that the exams will only be conducted in offline mode. The Board took this decision while ensuring students of taking all the precautionary measures for COVID-19. However, a section of CBSE students took to social media platforms voicing their concerns regarding their safety.

With the reports of CISCE (Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations) conducting the Term I exams in hybrid mode surfacing over the internet, CBSE Board students have also begun demanding options to take the exams both online and offline modes. Students fear their safety as they have not been vaccinated against the COVID-19 Virus yet. 

Apart from CISCE, NIOS (the National Institute of Open Schooling) had also announced that it will be offering 2022 board exams in an online mode. Since the Board has 40 lakh learners and about 5 lakh candidates sit for the exams every year, NIOS presented candidates with the option of both online and offline modes to reach the highest number. The Board claims to be aiming at reaching the unreached through this change.
