CBSE Paper Leak: Teacher Arrested for Leaking Economics and Maths Paper

CBSE Paper Leak: Teacher Arrested for Leaking Economics and Maths Paper

The CBSE paper leak had shocked the entire nation and the issue has been under the investigation. On April 07, 2018, the Delhi Police have arrested a teacher from Una, Himachal Pradesh for leaking Class 12 Economics paper. After conducting a detailed investigation and inquiry, the convicted teacher revealed that the Class 10 Maths question paper was also leaked by him.

A commerce teacher at DAV Centenary School, Una was responsible for the paper leak. He was also the Superintendent of the respective exam centre. The Police personnel have arrested the teacher on April 07, 2018, for circulating the screenshots of Class 12 Economics paper on WhatsApp. On the other hand, two employees of the school including a Clerk and Peon were arrested by the police.

After figuring out the actual facts from the convicted, the police have arrested the commerce teacher’s sister-in-law on April 12, 2018, for conspiring with him. The negligence of bank authorities was also taken into consideration with regard to the paper leak, and two employees were arrested by the police.

What Actually Happened?

As per the information disclosed by Joint Commissioner of Police, Mr. Alok Kumar, the sister-in-law of the commerce teacher of DAV Centenary School has a son who was appearing for the Class 12 Economics exam. She also had some relatives whose children are studying Class 10. Therefore, she approached the teacher and sought his help for the question papers. She also assured the commerce teacher that she would make him principal of the school through her political connections, explained by Mr. Alok Kumar.

The police further disclosed that the commerce teacher visited the Union Bank of India, Una on March 23, 2018, to collect the question papers of computer science and informatics. At the same, the teacher picked up a packet of Class 12 Economics paper. The economics exam took place on March 26, 2018, which means that the teacher collected the question papers three days in advance, clarified the police.

Suspecting the involvement of commerce teacher in Class 10 maths paper leak, the police investigated the case further. Later, the police department has figured out that the teacher picked up Class 10 Maths bundle too on March 23, 2018. The maths exam took place on March 28, 2018, which means that the teacher collected the question paper bundle five days in advance.

Later, a question paper was taken out from the bundle, clicked the photographs and was circulated on Whats App. Also, the commerce teacher called two students to his home and allowed them to copy all the questions in the economics paper.
