Commissioner of Entrance Exams (Kerala) has initiated the spot admission process for AYUSH (Ayurveda, Unani, Siddha and Homeopathy) courses for the new academic session that is scheduled to begin in a few days. Apart from AYUSH courses, the spot admission process for fisheries, forestry and agriculture courses has also commenced. October 24, 2017, is the deadline for the candidates to seek admission to these courses.
Even though there are vacant seats in Veterinary courses, admission process has not been initiated in the spot round due to a Writ petition filed in the High Court of Kerala.

The list of candidates who are eligible for spot round admission process is available on the official website/ portal of CEE Kerala. According to the guidelines published by CEE Kerala, students are not allowed for transfer between two aided or government colleges or between two private or self-financing colleges. Candidates appearing for the spot round admission process for AYUSH and other allied courses must produce all the relevant documents as prescribed by CEE Kerala.
The spot round admission process that began on October 23, 2017, also witnessed the presence of college authorities. For government quota seats, October 24, 2017, is the deadline for seeking admission.

The demand for AYUSH courses across the country has been increasing gradually. Due to the growing demand, the Ministry of AYUSH has rolled out a plan to set up more institutes or permit the existing institutes to offer courses in AYUSH. In the current scenario, the career prospects in this field of AYUSH are broad.
