Delhi University Teachers Likely to Boycott Evaluation Process

Delhi Universityteachers are planning to boycott the evaluation process from May 09, 2018. There are several reasons for taking this step such as graded autonomy, autonomous colleges and issues pertaining to higher education in the country.

The DU teachers are severely opposing the scheme of graded autonomy and autonomous colleges. DUTA is supporting the teachers in this regard. DUTA termed the protest as ‘Teachers United against Subversion of Reservation Roster, Privatisation and Fragmentation of Delhi University’. Further, the teachers are also demanding the government to withdraw the letter that was issued on March 05, 2018, and take steps for initiating the appointment process in Delhi University.

  • Appointments
  • Counting of Past Service
  • Promotion of teachers
  • Pension

DUTA further stated that the administration of Delhi University showed no concern on the issues of teachers. Several representations were made earlier seeking redressal of demands, DUTA added.

Enraged with the reluctance of varsity in addressing the demands of teachers, DUTA decided to boycott the evaluation process from May 09, 2018.
