The varsity is all set to release the third cut-off list on July 6, 2017. According to sources, the varsity has filled more than 50% seats in most of the colleges based on the second cut-off. Currently, 28,000 (approximately) seats are vacant for which the varsity will release the third cut-off list. The cut-off list is expected to be out by evening on July 6, 2017. Sources indicated that there might be a dip of 3% in the third cut-off list.
Many colleges and courses witnessed a marginal dip in the second cut-off list. For instance, the cut-off for B.Sc Electronics course at Sri Guru Nanak Dev Khalsa College was brought down from 99.6% to 96 percent. Similarly, the cut-off for B.A Political Science was also reduced to 97.25% from 99%.
On the other hand, top DU colleges reduced their cut-off (second cut-off) by 0.25% or 0.5%. Few colleges have already wrapped up the admission process for most of the popular courses. For instance, Lady Shri Ram College closed the admission process for popular courses like Economics, B.Com, Statistics, Mathematics, Philosophy, History and Sociology.
Experts were of the opinion that the third cut-off list might see a difference of about 3% as compared to the previous cut-offs. The admission process in many DU colleges may end based on the third cut-off list.
