The University of Delhi (DU) conducts its individual entrance exam called DU LLB Entrance Exam for shortlisting candidates for its three years long Bachelor of Law (LL.B) programme. DU LLB Entrance Exam is organised by the National Testing Agency (NTA) and it is held once every year. The exam is considered for admission to three faculties of Delhi University - Campus Law Centre, Law Centre 1, and Law Centre 2.

The DU LLB Entrance Exam 2020 was conducted on September 9, 2020, in three shifts. After being delayed due to the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic in the country, DU decided to arrange the law entrance exam in an online centre based mode in several shifts.   • The students who appeared for DU LLB Entrance Exam 2020 gave mixed reviews. Some said it was easy while some found it tricky and more on the difficult side.
  • Those who had prepared Legal and Polity well and had spent enough time on the questions of these two topics performed better than the others.
  • There were some questions asked on the United Nations (UN) this year which was not a common practise in the last years of DU LLB Entrance Exam. This year, since the UN took many steps regarding the COVID-19 pandemic and was in the headlines many times, it was expected that students will get questions regarding the UN's contribution in the pandemic situation.
  • DU LLB Entrance Exam 2020 was easier than that of the last year because in 2019 many questions of Legal were asked in the exam which was unexpected by the test takers.
  • Not a lot of questions of Mathematics were asked in the entrance exam. Unlike other law entrance exams like BHU LLB, DU LLB Entrance Exam does not comprise many questions of maths and focuses more on the other sections.
  • This year, the total questions asked on Legal Reasoning were very few.
  • Majority of the questions of DU LLB Entrance Exam 2020 comprised the sections of General Knowlege and Legal Awareness and Aptitude.

DU LLB Entrance Exam 2020: Students' Reaction

The students who gave DU LLB Entrance Exam 2020 shared their opinion regarding the difficulty level of the exam. They also spoke about the facilities at the exam centres in view of the containment of COVID-19.

  • Sharad Kaul, a graduate from VIPS (Vivekananda Institute of Professional Studies), said that he found the question paper of DU LLB Entrance Exam 2020 easy. He added that the candidates were able to complete the exam at least 30 minutes before the time ended. 
  • Talking about the coronavirus safety at the test centre, Sharad told that all the precautions were taken strictly by the exam centre officials. However, one asymptomatic COVID-19 positive candidate had appeared for the exam, which put many candidates at the risk of contracting the virus. 
  • Another student, Manas, said that the question paper was arbitrary. He added that the question paper was easy and it had questions about the year 2019. He shared that he had not expected any Quantitive Aptitude questions for the law paper and thankfully there were none. All the questions were MCQ type which he managed to finish within one hour just like most of the other test-takers. 
  • Piyush revealed that the question paper was easy and had 2 questions from English and 3 - 5 questions from Reasoning. Subjects like Current Affairs, Penal Code, Politics, Indian Constitution, Environment and the United Nations covered most of the question paper. He said that the total English questions asked were less than he had expected. 
  • Another candidate shared that the question paper of DU LLB Entrance Exam 2020 mostly comprised topics from Indian Constitution, United Nations, Environment etc. He further said that there were fewer questions on Legal Maxims than he had expected.
