The much anticipated three three-day music festival will start from 23rd November 2016 at its convention hall with a plethora of activities. The University authorities have decided to hold the function in the memory of the legendary thumri and ghazal singer because of her close association with the city.
The three-day concert will be held under the title of 'Rooh-e-Ghazal Jashn-e-Begum Akhtar'. It is being organised by the Sangeet Natak Akademi, New Delhi in association with Ahmedabad-based Upasana Schol of Performing Arts, and Gujarat University.
