Kartik has topped the Haryana Board Class 10 board examination with 99.6% marks. The Haryana Board Class 10 result was announced on 21st May 2018 by the Board of School Education Haryana (BSEH).
Kartik has scored full marks in Mathematics, Sanskrit and Science. His dreams are not limited to just excelling in the board exams. He has already started preparing for the civil services examination and aims to join the Indian Foreign Service (IFS) in future.
While speaking to a leading newspaper daily, he said that reading has become a part of his routine and he aims to continue with that so that he can crack the UPSC exam. He wants to work for the country in order to improve India’s global image. According to him, there is so much about our country that people living abroad do not know.

Kartik is a student of Nav Durga Senior Secondary School in Jind. While elaborating on his strategy to crack the board exams, he said devoted more time on topics that he found difficult and simultaneously increased his study hours to nine as opposed to the initial six hours. At present, he has opted for science with both mathematics and biology as his subjects in Class XI.

Apart from Kartik, other toppers namely, Hari Om, Selina Yadav, and Sonali secured 99% marks in Haryana Class 10 board examination. The pass percentage this year was only 51.15% with girls outshining the boys again. The pass percentage of girls stood at 55.34% whereas for boys it was 47.61%.
