How to use Freeze, Float and Slide Options after JoSAA Seat Allotment 2022?

JoSAA 2022 seat allotment result for round 1 has been released today i.e., 23rd September 2022. The authorities released the result in an online mode on the official portal, josaa.nic.in. Candidates can visit the protal to check their seat allotment result using their JEE Main application number and password. Those who are allotted seats must upload their documents to verify. Candidates who have allotted seats as per their first choice are not allowed to exercise the freeze, float, and slide option. How to use Freeze, Float and Slide Options after JoSAA Seat Allotment 2022?

Through centralized counselling process, the seats will be allocated to the candidate. The allocation will be done on the basis of ranks obtained by the candidates in JEE Mains and Advanced. Candidates will be able to exercise four options after the seat is allotted to the. Let us know how to use those options. 

Freeze

If candidates are satisfied with the course and college that have been allotted to them then they can freeze their seats. 

Float

Float option can help the candidates to choose their seat. If they want to keep the allotted seat but also want to participate in the next round of counselling then they can choose this option. 

Slide

Those candidates who are satisfied with the college they have been allotted but are not satisfied with the course, then they can use the "Slide" option. 

Withdraw

If the candidate is not satisfied with the seat allotted to them but has accepted it, then they can withdraw their seat by visiting the institution.
