The proposal for the establishment of the college was made in the year 2009 and the long cherished dream of setting up college has been realized by the government. NTPC & NHPC are engaged in the construction of various power projects in the state. The state possesses more than 20,000 MW hydropower potential.
The college will be developed into a center of excellence and the students need not go to far away places for being technically trained and skilled.
