ICSE Chemistry 2023 Analysis: The ICSE Science Paper 2 or Chemistry paper has concluded today, March 20, 2023, at 1 PM. It is one of the core subjects at the class 10 level and its paper was carried out for 80 marks and two hours duration. The paper was divided into Section A and Section B with both sections carrying an equal weightage of 40 marks. There are 15 MCQs in Section A and multiple one-mark short objective questions in Section B. For all such objective questions, ICSE chemistry answer key is provided here. Along with it, ICSE chemistry analysis is also given in a detailed manner and the students’ reviews are discussed as well.
The final Science Paper 3 (Biology) is to be conducted on the last day of ICSE 10th board exam 2023 i.e., on March 29, 2023. To continue on with your preparation, you may find the following link useful:

ICSE Class 10 Chemistry 2023: Student Reviews
The first opinions of the students, their overall review of the paper, the expert comments, and other key highlights are mentioned below:
- ICSE class 10 chemistry paper was said to be moderate and to some extent, lengthy but not very.
- As expected, there were application-based questions but their difficulty level was not very tough. However, the basic concepts of the students should be clear to be able to solve them. On the other hand, the direct textbook questions were mainly easy.
- "It was not a very easy paper but it was balanced," Alok, a Mumbai ICSE student said. "Section B was particularly tough but the internal choice compensated for the same."
- "I think it was a moderate and somewhat lengthy paper," another student commented. "I somehow completed it within time. Section B seemed kind of lengthy to me."
- Expert Review:
ICSE Chemistry 2023 paper was moderate, expected, and balanced. Section A consisted of all short-answer questions and students should have been able to finish it within half an hour. Those who took more time in Section A will find the paper to be lengthy. Section B had direct as well as application-based questions. If the students have a clear understanding of the concepts, they should be able to perform well in Section B as well. There were no out-of-the-box questions or very complex questions either. It was a scoring paper.
