IGNOU to Increase Examination Fee After 7 Years
The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has decided to increase the examination fee byRs. 60 making it a total of Rs. 120. IGNOU offers various courses at the level of Master, Bachelor and other short term professional courses in a very less fee. The institution took almost seven years to increase the examination fee.
Seeing this, the university has finally taken a call "to increase the examination fee to 120 up from 60," as per a newspaper report. "The fee was revised this month and it has been done after a very long time," IGNOU's regional director P. Sivaswaroop, said.
The institution offers region specific programmes in Nagpur as per the need of the students. This open university is known for collaborating with the renowned universities so as to reach the students, as it has tied-up with the School of Open Learning (SOL), Delhi University. Likewise, it is tying up with the regional intuitions of Nagpur to reach every student. Also, IGNOU is one of the few institutions, which provides bulk of e-notes.
