- IIM Ahmedabad will set up its first overseas extension centre in Dubai with the support of BRS Ventures.
- An agreement has been signed between IIM-A and BRS Ventures for this purpose.
On February 12, 2018, IIM Ahmedabad signed an agreement with UAE-based BRS Ventures to set up IIM-A’s first overseas campus in Dubai. The IIM-A Extension Centre that will come up in Dubai will offer courses in executive education, particularly the courses that are relevant to the region. The centre will offer both customised training and open learning courses. Besides benefitting UAE governance and regional business, the partnership is expected to benefit both the organisations.
The agreement between BRS Ventures and IIM Ahmedabad was signed at World Bank Summit 2018 in Dubai. It is an annual event where global leaders come together to discuss policies, programmes and government process with a major focus on the issues of technology, innovation and futurism.

For the IIM Ahmedabad overseas extension centre, BRS Ventures will provide all the support related to infrastructure, industry links and logistics, while the premier management institute will provide academic and training expertise. IIM Ahmedabad has not disclosed more details about the extension centre.
Executive courses offered by IIM Ahmedabad have more demand across corporates and industries. Based on the response and other major factors, IIM Ahmedabad will launch long duration course in IIM-A overseas extension centre at UAE. The courses offered by the premier institute are globally relevant. An international cultural setting can be witnessed in the learning environment of IIM-A.

Director of IIM-Ahmedabad, Professor Errol D’souza expressed that the premier institute is happy to partner with BRS Ventures. There is a need to have an in-depth understanding of the priorities of the region, and BRS Ventures will provide all the necessary support in this regard. Based on the priorities of the region, IIM-Ahmedabad will implement planned activities and courses effectively, he added.
BRS Ventures and IIM Ahmedabad firmly believe that the extension centre will turn out to be a landmark to represent a mutually beneficial collaboration between India and UAE.
