The Indian Institute of Management Indore would be holding its 17th convocation ceremony on March 26th. This year would see the biggest batch across all the IIMs passing out of this premier institute.
The convocation would see about 450 students of postgraduate programme in management, PGP students of IIM Indore’s Mumbai campus, PGPMX students of their UAE campus, many participants of executive programme in management and PhD students, passing out of IIM Indore. The institute would also see the first batch of after-school course 5 year Integrated Programme in Management pass out. The institute would be awarding a diploma to all these students. In addition to this the FPM participants and FPM (Industry) participants would also be conferred titles during the convocation.
Arundhati Bhattacharya, Chairman, State Bank of India, would be delivering the convocation address. She would also be awarding the scholastic medals to the meritorious students.
The chairman of board of IIM Indore, Vinay Sheel Oberoi would deliver the welcome address while the institute Director Rishikesha T Krishnan would present the annual report and also reveal the future plans. A day prior to the convocation ceremony a pre-convocation function would also be conducted at IIM Indore. The dignitaries who would speak at the pre-convocation ceremony would include Roopank Chaudhary, association partner and Indian head of McLagan, Aon Hewitt and Debolina Dutta, director & head of HR, VF Corporation. A cultural programme would follow the function.
