HR Heads of Top 50 Companies Attend IIM Jammu HR Conclave

IIM Jammu hosted the 2nd HR Conclave on the 30th and 31st of August 2019. HR Heads of Top 50 Companies  were a part of IIM Jammu 2nd HR Conclave 2019 that was held on the campus itself.

IIM Jammu HR Conclave

The Indian Institute of Management, Jammu (IIM Jammu) hosted an HR (Human Resource) conclave at its campus. The duration of the conclave was two days and heads of more than 50 top companies from around the country took part in an HR Conclave held at the IIM Jammu. IIM Jammu is one of the 20 Indian Institutes of Management and is, therefore, an extremely popular institute in the country. Hence, it constantly keeps engaging in new ventures so as to provide the best to its students. Many candidates aspire to get admission at one of the top management institutes for pursuing the course of Masters in Business Administration (M.B.A.) and apply every year.

The conclave students an opportunity to hear the professionals share their experiences and to also get their queries answered. Pradeep Gopi, Head of the Learning Division in Nissan Digital, which is a part of the Nissan Motors Corporation, said he was very happy with the experience and added that such conclaves are very important to bridge the gap between learning and practical experience.

Anju, an Aditya Birla Group official, appreciated the efforts of IIM Jammu and said that the discussions were a great way to learn and enhance knowledge.

The Director of IIM Jammu, B. S. Sahay, said this second HR conclave is going to be an amalgamation of academia and industry. It will give a common platform to everyone for rediscovering the paradigms that are to define the future of the world economy. He talked to the reporters and told them about the events that will unfold in this two days long HR conclave at IIM Jammu.

Several directors, chief HR officers, and heads from more than 50 esteemed organisations attended the conclave and interacting with the students, told Sahay. He said that the conclave aims at bringing some of the top professionals to deliberate and discuss the future of human resource (HR), while also fostering “practitioner-oriented learning” in the “future leaders of India studying at IIM Jammu”.

The central theme of IIM Jammu’s second HR conclave in ‘HR 4.0 - Discovering the HR (Human Resource) Landscape 2030’. The idea behind the conclave was to envision the human resource landscape that will be approaching us a decade from now. The sub-themes that were discussed at the conclave are given below.

Sahay further said that IIM Jammu will start its off-campus in Srinagar soon and the institute will coordinate with the administration for motivating the students of the state to appear for the CAT (Common Admission Test), which is one of the most popular management entrance tests of the country at the national level.
