JEE Main 26th July 2022 Shift 1 Question Paper Analysis

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has conducted the day 2 shift 1 exam on July 26, 2022, from 9 am to 12 pm. The authorities conduct the JEE Main 2022  session 2 exam in two shifts every day in online mode. A total of 90 questions was answered by the candidates within 180 minutes. The questions were asked on three subjects, Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry. 30 questions time was allotted for each section, 25 MCQs and 5 NAT questions (out of 10 questions). As per the JEE Main 2022 exam pattern, there will be negative marking for the incorrectly marked answers. More specifically, for every incorrectly marked answer, the candidates will get a deduction of 1 mark; whereas, they will get +4 marks for every correctly marked answer.

JEE Main 26th July Shift 1 Analysis Highlights (First Reaction)

  • Candidates found the exam to be of moderate level of difficulty
  • Chemistry section had direct questions, with equal weightage in organic, inorganic and physical chemistry
  • Mathematics was found to be the most difficult chapter
  • Physics chapter contained many formula based questions
  • There were more questions from Class 12 syllabus
