JEE Main July 27 Shift 1 Analysis: Shift 1 of JEE Main 2022 Session 2 successfully took place on July 27, 2022, and the overall difficulty level of the exam was found to be moderate level of difficulty and lengthy. The exam was carried out in two shifts per day of three hours duration each. Shift 1, whose analysis is discussed in detail here, has been conducted from 9 AM to 12 Noon at the exam centres in a computer-based format. The question paper for JEE Main 2022 examination is based on three subjects (Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics) which hold an equal weightage of 30 questions each. For every subject, 25 questions out of these Multiple-Choice Questions (MCQ) while the remaining 5 questions are Numerical Aptitude Type (NAT) questions. However, 10 NAT questions are asked out of which only five are to be answered. As is known, JEE Mains exam has negative marking and so as per the given rules, a -1 mark will be deducted as a penalty for every incorrectly marked answer while +4 marks will be awarded for accurately marked answers.
