JMI Extends Last Date to Apply for Entrepreneurship Development Programmes

Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) has begun its admission processes to its new Entrepreneurship Development Programmes for this year. Along with commencing its admissions to the programmes, the college has also introduced four new programmes in partnership with NSIC and MSME.

JMI Extends Last Date to Apply for Entrepreneurship Development Programmes

JMI has extended the last date to apply for various Entrepreneurship Development Programmes(EDP) at the varsities Centre for Innovation & Entrepreneurship(CIE) from July 31 to August 05 2019. The decision has been taken in view of a large number of enquiries about the programmes from different parts of the country.

JMI introduced four new courses in the field of Entrepreneurship Development Programmes and has started with the admission process for the same. The four programmes have been launched in partnership with the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) and National Small Industries Corporation (NSIC).

The four new Entrepreneurship Development Programmes that have been launched include CNC (Computer-Controlled Machine) Basic, CNC Advanced Training, Grooming of Factory Operation/Assembly Line/Packaging as well as Sales and Marketing. Currently, the college has EDP in various areas such as Tailoring and Embroidery Training, Spices Grinding, Bakery Products and Packaging, Pet Bottle Manufacturing and Drinking Water Packaging and Paper Cup/Glass/Plates Manufacturing.

JMI Entrepreneurship Development Programmes (EDP) Eligibility Criteria 2019

The candidates who are interested in pursuing either of the programmes that are offered by the college will have to meet the JMI Eligibility Criteria for Entrepreneurship Development Programmes admissions 2019. The minimum qualification required for either of the programmes is for the candidates to pass 8th class examinations, except for programmes of Sales and Marketing, CNC Advance Training and Grooming of Factory Operations/Assembly Line and Packaging. The eligibility criterion for these programmes is for the candidates to have passed the class 12th examinations.

The candidates will be pursuing the programme of CNC Advance Training for a duration of 2 months, whereas, the students who wish to pursue Grooming of Factory Operations/Assembly Line & Package and Sales & Marketing will study the programme for a duration of 1 month. Meanwhile, CNC Basic Training will be conducted for a time period of 45 days. The other programmes, i.e. Tailoring & Embroidering, Pet Bottle Making, etc will be conducted for a time span of 8 weeks.

Jamia Millia Islamia will be accepting applications to the Entrepreneurship Development Programmes by 5th August 2019. Interested candidates will be able to procure the application form from the Livelihood Business Incubation Centre at Jamia Millia Islamia. The candidates will be able to obtain the form by arriving at the college on any working day between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m.
