JNU Common Time-Table to Enable Students Opt Multiple Courses

Jawaharlal Nehru University will soon come up with a common time-table so that it will help students to determine additional courses besides the regular course they are pursuing. Vice Chancellor of JNU, Mr. M Jagadesh Kumar, gave the official confirmation regarding the timetable. The additional courses will help students attain knowledge and skills in varied fields.

JNU VC further revealed that the varsity would start School of Management and Entrepreneurship in 2019. On the other hand, the varsity will also host second convocation ceremony on August 08, 2018, almost after 46 years. The common timetable will promote multidisciplinary studies among the students. Students can pursue additional courses at a time. Students must note that the schedule of regular classes and additional courses will not clash, he confirmed.

On July 20, 2018, JNU signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry. As a part of the MoU, JNU will prepare a detailed plan to organize industrial visits for students. Experts from industry will also interact with the students of JNU, and provide the necessary guidance on starting their own businesses or ventures after the graduation.

With a motive to promote startup culture and entrepreneurship, JNU will set up Atal Incubation Centre. The varsity is also going to start School of Engineering. JNU is also making efforts to promote research ideas in the students.
