‘Hard Work is the Secret of Success’. The dedication, hard work and constant efforts of Mohit Gupta to achieve success in CA Final Exams had not gone into vain. In CA Final Exam November 2017 results, that were released on January 17, 2018, Karnal boy, Mohit Gupta showed his mettle and emerged as the topper exam. He scored 587/800 (73.38%) in the exam and secured the first rank at all-India level.

At present, Mohit Gupta is working in a Gurgaon-based company. Even though he performed well in the examination, Mohit did not expect a top rank and he was surprised after the declaration of results. Revealing his secret of success, Mohit said that hard work never fails and one can achieve anything in life with hard work, passion, dedication and determination.

It was Mohit Gupta's dream to become a Charted Accountant since childhood. With efforts, dedication and willpower, he secured a good percentage in Class 12. He bagged admission in Ramjas College of Delhi University. After the graduation, Mohit walked towards his dream and started pursuing CA. At the same time, completed M.Com from School of Open Learning – Delhi University.

Mohit's CA Exam Preparation Tips for Aspirants:

  • Apart from pursuing Articleship, Mohit used to study two to four hours a day. However, three months before the CA Final Exams, he studied over 10-12 hours a day. He did not join any coaching centre and believes that it was his job that enhanced his knowledge.
  • Mohit added that students must have an in-depth understanding of concepts for better performance. The training period is crucial for the aspirants, as it enhances their knowledge and skills, he highlighted.
  • Mohit Gupta urged the future aspirants to study regularly, focus on presentation and maintain a positive environment. CA aspirants should have exceptional willpower and dedication, he concluded.
  • During his free time, Mohit prefers to listen to music and takes casual walks. He spends time with his friends and watches TV shows. He uses social media platforms for sharing important information pertaining to exams and preparation strategies.

Among the toppers, Prasanth secured AIR 2 with 71.38% (571/800) and Aditya Mittal bagged AIR 3 with 70.62% (565/800) respectively.

According to the official data of ICAI, out of 39,328 candidates appeared for Group I exam in CA Finals, only 15.91% passed the exam whereas, out of the 39,753 candidates who appeared for Group II exam, only 15.11% passed. 22.76% students cleared the CA Final Exams conducted in November 2017.

The overall pass percentage declined this year. Last year, the topper of CA Final Exams 2017, Raj Paresh secured AIR 1 by scoring 630/800.

President of ICAI appreciated the toppers and quoted that there are no shortcut or easy ways to achieve success. Hard work, passion and sincerity are the key factors to succeed in life, he added.

CA CPT 2017 December 2017 results were also declared on January 17.
