  • He scored 340/340 in his first attempt and is aspiring to study Masters and Ph.D. in the US universities. 
Student Scores Full Marks in GRE

A third-year engineering student from Mumbai, Arjun Shah emerged as the topper of GRE (Graduate Record Examination) 2018. The 22-year-old Arjun Shah is pursuing Bachelor of Engineering (B.E) in Chemical Engineering at Institute of Chemical Technology. He scored 340/340, a perfect score in his primary attempt.

GRE is conducted throughout the year and the score is mandatory for the graduate admissions in the United States (US). After 2013, Shah is the third person to achieve a perfect score in GRE.

Arjun Shah is aiming to get admission in premier US universities like Stanford or MIT for Masters in Chemical Engineering. His aim is to not only complete Master’s but also pursue Ph.D. later. He revealed that the application process for the admission to US universities would begin by the end of this year. Commenting on declining interests in students to take up Master’s in the US, Arjun Shah mentioned that it is significant to pursue research in top universities across the US.

Arjun Shah said that he got the score right after the test. However, getting the scorecard with a perfect score is a wonderful experience. He started preparing for GRE exam just 20 days prior to the test, as he was busy in preparing for B.E semester exams whole December.

Adding further, Arjun pointed that most students find verbal section difficult in GRE, but the best way to crack the verbal section is mastering the words that are not familiar. Aspirants should not lose concentration during the exam. The duration of the test is four hours and students need to stay focused.
