Karnataka State Higher Education Council is still struggling to release its University Ranking list of state and private colleges. The council took the responsibility to create and release the list earlier this year but failed to do so.
Karnataka State Higher Education Council, KSHEC seems to struggle in releasing a list of top universities in the state. According to the data, the council took the responsibility to create a list of all the top private and public universities/colleges in Karnataka for the current academic year. It was expected to come out by the end of June yet remains missing due to the political drama in the state.
Earlier this year, KSHEC took the charge to prepare the list by marking the universities on a scale created by the officials that included different parameters including the following:
- Infrastructure of the University/College
- Academic Achievements of the University/College
- Admission Process to Univerity/College
- Placements offered by the university/College

According to the officials, all the related work was completed on time and the list was to be released by the month of June, however, it still not out. The delay might be because of the political issues of the state and the department is yet to release the ranking list.
A senior official claimed that the work was completed on time and private universities were given a place in the ranking list as they passed on all the parameters set by the department. Inclusion of private university in the state list would also challenge public universities to know their actual standard and help them to work hard on their standards of education.
Even though the election procedure ended in May, ministers are yet to be allocated for some departments. The list is likely to come out when a new minister is appointed for the same. However, the council already published ranking booklets which would now go waste due to the change in the name of the minister.

It is likely to see now how much more time would be taken by the KSHEC to release the university ranking list and booklets.The university ranking list will provide information where universities stand and what areas they need to work on.
