MSLU Udaipur changes Convocation attire
Highlights: State Universities in Rajasthan can give a pass to Convocation capes and gowns as they will now be replaced by traditional kurta-payjama /dhoti or Jod

State Universities in Rajasthan can give a pass to Convocation capes and gowns as they will now be replaced by traditional kurta-payjama /dhoti or Jodhpuri suit for male candidates as a and sarees as a traditional dress for female candidates. Mohan Lal Sukhadia University, Udaipur (MSLU) will now have its convocation with the students in traditional dresses.

This was finalized by Governor Kalyan Singh in early February in a meeting with Vice Chancellors at Raj Bhawan.

With this Rajasthan has now become the first state in the country to have an official dress code for convocation in Universities. Dress code will also have a color code, but this will be decided on later date by the Governor.

The proposal was passed in presence of all 25 Rajasthan state universities in Raj Bhawan.
