Sneha Khaund - a resident of Assam's Jorhat district and an English graduate from St. Stephen's College in Delhi, has recently selected for the prestigious Commonwealth Scholarship Commission in the United Kingdom for the year 2015-2016.
She is from around 22 students from India who has been selected for the prestigious Commonwealth Scholarship Commission in the United Kingdom for the year 2015-2016.
Scholarship who will be doing their Masters from UK and Sneha is one among them. Now she will pursue her Masters degree in Comparative Literature at London University. Sneha was one of the few students whose application was selected by the Government's HRD ministry and forwarded to the UK commission.
She wants to pursue an academic career as well work for the benefit of the society. Youth in the Northeast region have been able to prove their mettle in various fields and many like Sneha are now aiming high to make their mark in different fields.
“I feel honoured to be among the selected students and it's an opportunity rather and a great opening for me to study what I love and there will be world class facilities I have access to, she said while interacting with media.
“I am looking towards getting aPHD and hope to be socially committed. I don’t want an academic career diverted from social issues. I want to do something for the society in the long run.” She added further.
