Tanya Arora, an engineering student at LPU, received an offer by Microsoft. The student completed her B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering and is offered the role of a software engineer at the leading company of Microsoft.

A final year student of Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) at Lovely Professional University, Tanya Arora, has bagged a job at the technology giant Microsoft. Tanya did her B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering and is placed at Microsoft with an annual package of Rs. 42 lakh. She has been hired for the role of a software engineer at the Research and Development (R&D) Centre of the company at its office in Hyderabad. The offer given to Arora is being considered as the highest compensation that has been offered to an engineering fresher in the year 2019.
Tanya Arora had done her summer internship at Microsoft and is extremely excited about having received the job offer by the company. She said that her experience during the internship at Microsoft was great and it is a dream come true for her to have been hired at the same company. Arora expressed ger deep interest in technology and said that she has always worked hard to stay on top of emerging trends like Machine Learning (ML) and Artificial Intelligence (AI). She also expressed gratitude towards her peers at LPU and said she has benefitted from them immensely, especially from those who are equally interested in technology. Arora thanked her alma mater as LPU provided her with an environment that is invigorating and career-focused and also her mentors and teachers who have helped her at every turn.

Ashwani Kumar Tewari of the Department of Computer Science and Application at LPU said that the university is proud of the achievement Tanya Arora has pulled off. He further said that the focus of LPU is directed on industry-academia immersion and the centres of excellence at the varsity offer students several opportunities to work on real-time industry projects. The students are also taught how to apply all that they learn in classrooms to these real-life projects.
