LU Admission Panel Takes Key Decisions In Meeting

Some key decisions were taken by the Lucknow University's Admission Panel at their meeting recently. According to their spokesperson NK Pandey, the meeting of the admission advisory committee was held on April 12 in which certain key decisions were taken.

“The details for submitting forms will be intimated on the Lucknow University’s website soon. The admission test will consist of 100 objective, multiple choice questions and they will have to be answered in 90 minutes. There will be questions from subjects that are taught at the Intermediate level in various boards like UP Board, ISC and CBSE,” said N.K.Pandey.

The tentative schedule stated that the Integrated LLB entrance test will be held on May 30, BSc (Mathematics) on May 31, BSc (Biology) and BCA on June 1, BA, BA (Hons) and BVoc on June 2 and BCom on June 3. As regards the marking pattern, he said that each question would be of four marks. “One mark will be deducted for each incorrect answer and zero will be given for each unattempted question.” He said that the merit would be generated purely on the basis of marks obtained in the entrance test. “If two or more candidates have secured equivalent marks or rank in the merit Index, then the merit for admission will be determined on certain parameters.

If marks secured in the entrance test are the same in such cases, first preference will be given to the candidate who secures a higher percentage of marks in High School or equivalent examination. If the marks obtained at the High School or equivalent examination are the same, then in that case, the older candidate will be given priority.

Also all the candidates, who had sought same weightage (NCC B or outstanding sportsperson) or subcategory reservation (freedom fighter, physically handicapped, defence personnel or college teachers’ ward), have to get their certificates verified on the day of admission test (after the test) at the designated places on the old campus of Lucknow University.
