Verb Form Question: No Fixed Answer Here!
In the exam today, students came across the question:
“Fill in the blank with the proper form of the verb as per the subject: The hermit __________ to the king.”
Many students were confused because no base verb was provided in the question. Since the verb itself was not given, there is no single correct answer.
Students could have written different grammatically correct verbs such as spoke, said, went, talked, or bowed, depending on how they understood the sentence. As long as the verb agreed with the subject and made meaningful sense, it should be considered correct.
03 30 PM IST - 27 Feb'26
Compound Words Confusion Cleared!
In the Maharashtra SSC English exam, the question “Write two compound words of your own” left some students wondering about the correct answers.
There is no single fixed answer for this question.
Students simply had to write any two valid compound words (for example, notebook, sunlight, football, classroom, etc.). As long as the words were correctly formed and meaningful, they should receive marks.
So, there’s no need to worry if your answer was different from your friends’. If the compound words were correct, you’re on the safe side!

04 00 AM IST - 27 Feb'26
Unit 4: "The Alchemy of Nature" Vocabulary Focus
Board trends suggest a high probability of a textual passage from Unit 4. Specifically, focus on the passage describing the Hibiscus plant or the Spider’s web.
