From this academic session, the Mumbai University will be changing its examination process and has decided to hold the same examination papers for all first-year examinations. Orientation sessions will soon be conducted by the university in its affiliated colleges and they will be familiarised with changes in the old examination process.

Regarding the same, a circular has been issued to the exam heads and other staff members of various colleges by the Mumbai University on Monday. In the circular, a direction wise district-wise orientation programme is mentioned.

For different subjects like Arts, Science and Commerce, the examination papers will be set by the university. This decision was made after the syllabus for different subjects was changed recently. It is said that this move will further help students to cope with the changes.

According to the circular, the university has created a schedule with multiple sets of paper, out of which the colleges can choose from as per their group, and convenience.

Registrar M A Khan said that there will be a standardise examination process by keeping standard questions, keeping in mind that this is the first time the university is making examination papers.

All the doubts of different colleges regarding the new examination process will be solved by the university during orientation.
