MANUU Hyderabad has launched new UG course – B.A. (Hons) Journalism and Mass Communication. July 09, 2018, is the last date to submit the online application form.

MANUU Hyderabad Launches B.A Journalism & Mass Communication Course

Department of Mass Communication and Journalism at Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU) Hyderabad has launched new UG (Under Graduate) course, i.e., B.A (Hons) Journalism & Mass Communication. The department is already offering a M.A Mass Communication & Journalism course.

The new course will be beneficial to media enthusiasts looking forward to a bright career in the field of journalism and mass media. Over the years, the varsity has been successful in producing skilled postgraduates and professionals in the field.

Students who have passed 10+2 with Urdu as one of the subjects (with at least 45% marks) are eligible for the admission to B.A (Hons) Journalism and Mass Communication course. July 09, 2018, is the last date to submit the online application form on the official website of MANUU.

Dean of School of MCJ, Professor Ehtesham Ahmed Khan revealed that the new course is designed in such a manner that students can easily land in jobs after completion of the course. Apart from the theory-based teaching and learning, students will get a chance to get hands-on experience in the field of journalism. For instance, students will be trained in preparing news and designing a layout of the newspaper by the end of first semester itself, he highlighted.

Adding further, Professor Ahmed Khan indicated that M.A (MCJ) graduates of MANNU were recruited by leading national media institutions. In fact, the charm of Urdu has added to their worthiness and the language has never become a barrier for them, he explained.

Recently, Arfa Khan Sherwani from The Wire, Kamal Khan from NDTV and Satish Jacob from BBC had visited the Mass Communication Department of MANUU. The renowned media and journalism professionals hailed the infrastructure facilities at the department. They also expressed their satisfaction over the profiles of the faculty members at the department.
