The student-run TEDx event organising committee of MICA organised its TEDx conference at its campus on Sunday, February 12, 2017. The conference was attended by celebrities from the different fields, who delivered their inspiration talks to the great enlightenment of the students.

The theme of this year event was PANORAMA. All the 13 speakers’ talks revolved around different aspects of their lives and careers. They also highlighted how they had worked towards looking at the panorama of life and observing it through a broader lens. Talking about the concept of Hero in Bollywood, veteran actor Dalip Tahil spoke about the evolution of the ideal hero through the ages. Lola Kutty’s fame Anu Menon spoke about the stereotypes in society with dollops of humour. She stressed on how gender stereotypes affect a woman in the media industry.
Co-founder of MAD, Jithin C Nedumala, said how young people can change the world and inspire the youth. He talked about the four steps that each individual can follow to create a change in society. Dolly Thakore explained on how theater as an art can bring a complete change and improvement in a person’s life. Gautam Bhimani shared a few lighter moments from his career.

Ashwin Venugopal, a member of the organising committee talked about the success of this year’s edition of Tedx MICA. He said that the event's popularity is evident as even several days after the event students used to discuss the various points raised at the event. It is really encouraging they have been able to deliver requirements of the students, guests, faculty and participants, added Venugopal.The event aimed at urging the participants and audiences to look at life from a broader perspective.
