MITE Bags 3rd Position in All India Robotic Process Automation Skillathon

The All India event was conducted in the month of June this year and the results were announced virtually on the 03rd of July 2020 by the officials. More than 400 institutions took part in the skillathon event.

MITE Bangalore Secures 3rd Position in All India Event Skillathon

The Mangalore Institute of Technology and Engineering (MITE), Moodbidri bagged the 3rd position in the All India Robotic Process Automation Skillathon that was conducted jointly by UiPath and Guvi in the month of June this year. The names of the top three All India Rank holder Institutions was announced via a virtual ceremony which was held on the 03rd of July 2020.

The purpose behind conducting the Skill-a-thon event was to give the students a golden opportunity to both gain exposure and add new skill sets related to the Robotic Process Automation (RPA). More than 400 institutions in the country took part in this skill-a-thon event and around 60,000 students represented their respective institutions in this event.

From MITE only, around 2,600 students took part who were later awarded some certificates. The automation and Artificial Intelligence sectors are witnessing a constant evolution that is driving the industries and the economy.

AICTE MHRD’s Chief Coordinating Officer Buddha Chandrasekhar was the recognition ceremony’s guest of honour. While speaking at the ceremony Chandrasekhar said that AICTE’s focus has shifted towards creating skilled professionals which is why it is must that the students, while pursuing graduation, must also have a good industrial experience.

MITE was represented by its Training and Placement Cell Dean Narendra U P. He particularly emphasized on the situation that has arisen due to the COVID-19 pandemic and how it is a unique opportunity for the young engineers to come up with new solutions which can support the contactless work environment.

MITE Chairman Rajesh Chouta congratulated the students heartily for achieving the third position in the All India event.
