- Madhya Pradesh government is giving away laptops to meritorious students who have performed well in the state board exams.
- Close to 88,000 students are to be benefitted with the laptop scheme of the state government.
The Madhya Pradesh government has started transferring money to the students online who have scored more than 75% marks and above in class 12th board exams this year, for purchasing laptops.
The MP board declared the results class 12 results on 14th May and the batch's pass percentage stood at 68%. Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Chief Minister of the state has launched the scheme of transferring Rs. 25,000 each to the 88,000 students of the state who have scored 75% or above. Through this sum, students can purchase a laptop for themselves - a tool that is very important in the higher education.

The class 12 board exams were conducted by the Madhya Pradesh Board of Secondary Education (MPBSE) from March to April. As of now, the government has transferred the amount to 22,000 students and the rest of the eligible students would also receive the amount soon. This amount will act as an encouragement to them and will help them create a new world of knowledge.

To prevent copying and cheating cases, MP board administration has introduced strict security measures and has installed CCTV cameras at the exam centres. In case, any student was caught cheating they were to be immediately booked for a criminal offense with a fine up to Rs. 5,000 and three years of imprisonment.
