The National Assesment and Accreditation Council team would be visiting the Central University of South Bihar (CUSB) soon.NAAC would be visiting campuses in the last week of April 2016. The visits are expected to be held on 26th April 2016 and 29th April 2016. They are going to take place at both the Gaya campus and the Patna campus of the university.
The university’s Vice-Chancellor Mr. H.C Rathore has told that a 9 member peer team chaired by Mr. Mehraj Ud Din would visit the campus between 26th and 29th April, to make a fine assessment. The team would mainly inspect the facilities available at the university
The NAAC peer team would assess the university on various parameters, such as the admission process, performance of students in exams, activities in several departments, student’s and the faculties' achievements, research facilities, research publications and the awards won by the students and the faculty members. The NAAC team would also review the facilities available at the hostels, the library, and the sports department.
The VC has also said that even though the university is working in rented building from Birla Institute of Technology – Patna, it has state-of-the-art lecture halls with projectors and audio-visual system, laboratories, libraries with 1000s of books & journals, semester system with choice-based credit system (CBCS) that timely conducts the exams and the placement drives even of the alumni (pass outs).
It is noteworthy that it has been indicated from the college's administration that the campus is likely to shift to its permanent campus at Gaya very soon, with the addition of the new courses at the University.
The 6-year-old Central University of South Bihar (CUSB) that has been functioning from the rented premises has applied for its accreditation from the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC).
